Karya Sastra dan Periodisasinya

Karya Sastra Bentuk Prosa

Karangan prosa ialah karangan yang bersifat menerangjelaskan secara terurai mengenai suatu masalah atau hal atau peristiwa dan lain-lain. Pada dasarnya karya bentuk prosa ada dua macam, yakni karya sastra yang bersifat sastra dan karya sastra yang bersifat bukan sastra. Yang bersifat sastra merupakan karya sastra yang kreatif imajinatif, sedangkan karya sastra yang bukan astra ialah karya sastra yang nonimajinatif.

Macam Karya Sastra Bentuk Prosa

Dalam khasanah sastra Indonesia dikenal dua macam kelompok karya sastra menurut temanya, yakni karya sastra lama dan karya sastra baru. Hal itu juga berlaku bagi karya sastra bentuk prosa. Jadi, ada karya sastra prosa lama dan karya sastra prosa baru.

Perbedaan prosa lama dan prosa baru menurut Dr. J. S. Badudu adalah:

Prosa lama:

1.       Cenderung bersifat stastis, sesuai dengan keadaan masyarakat lama yang mengalami perubahan secara lambat.

2.       Istanasentris ( ceritanya sekitar kerajaan, istana, keluarga raja, bersifat

feodal).

3.       Hampir seluruhnya berbentuk hikayat, tambo atau dongeng. Pembaca

dibawa ke dalam khayal dan fantasi.

4.       Dipengaruhi oleh kesusastraan Hindu dan Arab.

5.       Ceritanya sering bersifat anonim (tanpa nama)

6.       Milik bersama

Prosa Baru:

1.       Prosa baru bersifat dinamis (senantiasa berubah sesuai dengan perkembangan masyarakat)

2.       Masyarakatnya sentris ( cerita mengambil bahan dari kehidupan masyarakat sehari-hari)

3.       Bentuknya roman, cerpen, novel, kisah, drama. Berjejak di dunia yang nyata, berdasarkan kebenaran dan kenyataan

4.       Terutama dipengaruhi oleh kesusastraan Barat

5.       Dipengaruhi siapa pengarangnya karena dinyatakan dengan jelas

Not Impressed with the Griffin iTrip That Lets You Play Your Mp3 Through Your Car Stereo

 Why do all the good songs come on the radio when your about to get out of your car? You can drive for miles with nothing to listen to, and just when you’re pulling up in your driveway, your favorite song comes on. My friends and I decided to buy an iTrip which lets you listen to your mp3 through your car stereo. This sounded like a great invention, but so far, I’m not impressed.
The way it works is that you plug the iTrip into your cigarette lighter and then press a button that automatically finds the best FM station to tune into on your stereo. Once it locates a suitable station, you adjust the station on your stereo, turn on your mp3 and plug it into the iTrip. Sounds simple enough, but the sound quality isn’t that great, and as I’m driving down the road, I can hear static cutting in and out, and the sound isn’t consistent.
I was really excited about being able to listen to our favorite songs in the car whenever we wanted, but usually it’s not worth the trouble to keep finding a station that isn’t filled with static, and the sound going up and down is annoying, so my friends are once again bringing their mp3 players to listen to or we just turn on the radio.

Otaku

Otaku is a Japanese term used to refer to people with obsessive interests, particularly anime, manga, or video games. In English, it is usually used to refer to an obsessive fan of anime/manga and/or Japanese culture generally, and to a lesser extent Japanese video games.

The term serves as a label similar to Trekkie or fanboy. However, use of the label can be a source of contention among some anime fans, particularly those who are aware of the negative connotations the term has in Japan. Unpleasant stereotypes about otaku prevail in worldwide fan communities, and some anime fans express concern about the effect these more extreme fans can have on the reputation of their hobby (not unlike sentiments in the comic book and science fiction fandoms).

The term otaku is close in connotation to the English nerd, but the closest English-language analogue to otaku is probably the British English term anorak. Both of these English-language terms have more emphatically negative connotations of poor social skills and obsessive interest in a topic that seems strange, niche or boring to others.
